A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Jean as the Dark Phoenix as she shares her visions with Cyclops, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "The Dark Phoenix Saga, Part IV: The Fate of the Phoenix," which aired on November 26, 1994. Measuring 9"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 5.75"x10", the cel is in very good condition with minor scratches, slight surface wear, light line fade, and paper backing stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for display purposes.
